Information from third parties: data from the accounting, payroll, and banking platforms you connect or authorize us to access on your behalf (for example, your accounting software or bank feeds), and information from your CPA or tax preparer when you direct us to work with them.
Information collected automatically: standard web analytics (IP address, browser type, and pages visited) when you visit our website.
How we use your information
We use the information we collect to:
- Deliver our bookkeeping, payroll, and CFO-level consulting services
- Service your account — reconciliations, payroll runs, reporting, and filings
- Communicate with you about your account and our services
- Send reminders, notifications, and requested documents
- Comply with applicable tax, employment, and financial-recordkeeping laws
- Detect and prevent fraud
- Improve our website and services
Who we share information with
We share information with:
- Payroll processors and filing agencies that run payroll and remit taxes on your behalf
- Accounting-software, banking, and payment vendors who help us operate, contractually bound to protect your information
- Your CPA or tax preparer, when you direct us to share with them
- Regulatory and taxing authorities when legally required
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties for marketing purposes.
Mobile opt-in, SMS consent, and phone numbers collected for SMS communication purposes will not be shared with any third party or affiliates for marketing purposes.
Mobile information and SMS consent
BBK Accounting may collect your name, mobile telephone number, email address, mailing address, business information, account information, and other information you provide to us in connection with bookkeeping, payroll, consulting, account service, billing, document requests, appointment scheduling, customer care, and related accounting services.
We use this information to provide our services, communicate with you about your account, respond to customer care requests, send account notifications, send appointment or document reminders, provide marketing communications where permitted and consented to, maintain records, comply with legal and regulatory obligations, prevent fraud, and operate our firm.
We may share information with payroll processors, accounting-software and banking providers, payment processors, service providers, software vendors, regulators, auditors, legal advisors, and other parties as reasonably necessary to deliver, administer, and manage our accounting services and firm operations.
Mobile opt-in, SMS consent, and phone numbers collected for SMS communication purposes will not be shared with any third party or affiliates for marketing purposes.
BBK Accounting does not sell, rent, or trade mobile opt-in information, SMS consent information, or phone numbers collected for SMS communication purposes.
SMS terms of service
By consenting to receive SMS/text messages from BBK Accounting, you agree to receive conversational, informational, transactional, service-related, and, where permitted, promotional text messages from us. These messages may include account service updates, document requests, appointment reminders, billing reminders, payroll notifications, customer service messages, and marketing messages about our services.
Consent is not a condition of purchasing any product or service.
