Who FAB is for
FAB is for owners who want their bookkeeping handled as automatically as possible. It's usually a good fit if you:
- Want your books done without being involved every month
- Like AI handling the routine work, with a real person checking it
- Want to drop QuickBooks and its subscription
- Need reliable books but can't justify the cost of a full-service bookkeeper
Your books also need to suit automation: up to about 500 transactions a month, and no work that needs a person every month, such as three-way reconciliations for IOLTA accounts. The price check confirms fit as you answer. If your business needs more, our traditional monthly bookkeeping is built around your specific needs.

What's not included
FAB covers the bookkeeping that automation does well. These services aren't included in the plan, but you can add them separately:
- Payroll processing (we connect your payroll app either way)
- Sales tax filing

If you need any of the following, our traditional monthly bookkeeping is a better fit, and we'll build a package around your business:
- Monthly meetings, custom reporting, or a dedicated bookkeeper
- Work that needs a person every month, such as three-way trust reconciliations or getting your books ready for an audit by an independent CPA firm

Prices on this page are for Fully Automated Books on its own. We can combine it with payroll and tax preparation in a customized package for one monthly price. Schedule a call to put yours together.
Fully Automated Books (FAB) has two plans, priced per company. Which one fits depends on your monthly transaction volume and how many of your systems need a custom connection. Your bank and credit card accounts connect automatically, and many apps connect directly; anything that doesn't gets a custom connection. A short call gets you your exact price.

Accounting software is included in every plan. Businesses with store inventory or several active projects usually fit Standard. With two or more companies, you may be eligible for a bulk discount.
- Setup: a one-time $100 fee per company, plus $50 for each custom connection
- Catch-up, if your books are behind: $600 for the first year of books, $300 for each additional year, and $50 per month for a partial year. For example, 3½ years behind is $1,500.
Payroll and any work outside FAB's standard scope are quoted separately, and we'll always quote them before doing the work.

Traditional bookkeeping is built around your business, with custom reporting and a bookkeeper you talk with regularly. FAB keeps the service standard and lets automation do the routine work. That lets us deliver reliable monthly financials for much less, and for many businesses it costs less than paying for bookkeeping and an accounting software subscription separately.

FAB runs on Kick, a modern bookkeeping platform built for automation. BBK pays for the subscription, so there's no separate software bill.

All of your data can be exported at any time. If you ever leave FAB, you can take your books with you.

How much does Fully Automated Books cost?
Essentials is $100 per month and Standard is $200 per month, per company, depending on your transaction volume and how many custom connections your books need. Setup is a one-time $100, plus $50 for each custom connection. Accounting software is included.
What if my books are behind?

Do I still need QuickBooks?
No. FAB includes the accounting software. If you use QuickBooks Online now, you can keep it during the switch and cancel when you're ready.
What if my business gets more complicated?
We'll let you know when something falls outside FAB's scope. We can quote the extra work or move you to a traditional bookkeeping package built around your needs.
Does FAB handle payroll or sales tax?
No. FAB covers bookkeeping only. Our payroll services can be added separately.
Can I take my data with me if I leave?
Yes. All of your data can be exported at any time.
